Completion of Step 3 & 5 - Baking and decorating.

Review of Spruce Tree Shortbread Recipe. 

Cookie Baking Directions!!! 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. 
  2. Roll out your the cookies to 1/4 inch thickness on a floured piece of parchment paper on the countertop. 
  3. Cut the dough into shapes with a cookie cutter and transfer to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet on top of your baking tray. I would recommend smaller shapes for MORE cookies :) 
  4.  Bake your cookies at 350F for about 8 to 10 minutes or until edges turn slightly golden. 
  5. Try to allow for cookies to cool completely before icing. 

Product: Your bowl of prepped dough. Available at Teacher Station back of the room.

Equipment:

Parchment Paper x 2, Rolling Pin, Baking Tray - 

Parchment Paper available at the teacher station.

Note: Roll out your dough on a piece of parchment paper

Note: Parchment paper to go on the baking tray - cookies on top! 


Icing Directions:

1. Decorate the cookies with the icing and serve. You can also use any left over spruce tip sugar as decor as well and or cookie decorating candies (available from Ms. H. Teacher Cooking Area at the back of the room. 

Product: Your bowl of icing. Available at Teacher Station back of the room.

Equipment: Spoon/Knife/Spreader - review spreader tool.
